Continuing in our studies from John Thompson’s Modern Course For The Piano Second Grade Book, today’s lesson will cover A Journey In The Arctic on page 32. In today’s lesson we will discuss the following topics:

• Introduction of major and minor scales

• Modal variants

• Eight note scales in the right hand

• Split scale between both hands

• 1st and 2nd endings
