This online lesson covers lesson 8 on page 5 of Essential Elements For Band Alto Saxophone Book 1. In this lesson, students will practice playing all the notes they’ve learned so far and learn a new musical notation.

• Practice playing notes, A, B, C and D

• Counting and playing quarter notes and quarter rests

• Introduction of the repeat sign
