Reading The Notes

This online flute lesson will cover lesson 11 from page 5 of Essential Elements For Band Flute Book 1. In this lesson students will learn to read the notes on the staff and be introduced to some basic music theory.

• Practice reading and playing notes B flat, C, D, E flat and F

• Practice counting and playing quarter notes and quarter rests with a metronome

• Introduction of the treble cleff

• Introduction of the time signature
