This online percussion lesson covers Lesson 5 on page 4B of Essential Elements For Band Percussion Book 1. In this lesson, students will practice playing single strokes on the snare drum using each hand and beginning on the left.

• Practice reading, counting and playing quarter notes and quarter rests

• Review of posture
