Piccolo Flute- pitched an an octave higher than the soprano flute. Non-transposing, key of C concert.

Soprano Flute – also known as the C Flute. This is the most common variety of flute. Non-transposing, key of C concert.

Alto Flute – much larger than the soprano flute and pitched a fourth lower. Plays in concert key of G.

Bass Flute – the largest and lowest pitched flute of all! Non-transposing, key of C concert.
