The Seventeen Stroke Roll is an essential rudiment that is based on the Double Stroke Roll. As with the five stroke, seven stroke, nine stroke, eleven stroke, thirteen stroke, and fifteen stroke roll – this rudiment is based on the double stroke ending with one single stroke. It combines eight sets of double strokes with one single stroke.
