Scherzino

Continuing in our studies from John Thompson’s Modern Course For The Piano Second Grade Book, today’s lesson will cover Scherzino on page 51. In today’s lesson we will discuss the following topics:

• Song form from the early Romantic period

• Fast tempo, lots of notes

• 2/2 time signature, same as cut time

• Key of G flat major

• Cross-unders with the thumb
