Phil Arnold
Phil is a professional musician who specializes in performing and teaching jazz.
His credentials include performing as a soloist with Clark Terry, Woody Shaw, Dizzy Gillespie, and many other Jazz, Blues, Latin and Pop artists.
Phil has taught hundreds of young musicians in public school band programs in New York and New Mexico. He started an amazing youth jazz program called THE YOUTH JAZZ COLLABORATIVE OF NEW MEXICO.
Since this has taken place during covid Phil has developed and utilizes a wide-range of online music tools and plugins to help students learn jazz in an online environment.
In this video you will see how Phil and other volunteers have gone from in-person classes to using various online music software to be able to continue the education and journey that YJC students are on.
Yes, even during a pandemic students can and will learn music.
